Welcome, prospective members, to the first Bring It On slash community on Livejournal. This is my first community- I was so starved for Bring It On slash and femslash on LJ that I decided to just make a community for it myself. Therefore if anybody is interested in helping me with this community it would be very much appreciated, especially in the new year when I might not have the frequent access to the Internet that I have now. Also, if anybody would like to try their hand at making a nice slashy icon for our userinfo, they are encouraged to do so. *grin* If we ever get enough members we might have a contest, but for now there's just me, so yeah.
But for now, post, discuss, enjoy. Spread the word to your friends. *smirk* Follow me or perish, sweater monkeys.
What a fabulous idea for a community! I'm in.
*dances with joy* Fantastic! A new member!
(I love your icon, by the way. Where'd you get it? I always used to have these arguments with my sister over whether 'popular to boot' meant 'popular to have sex with' or 'popular, as well'. She always claimed it meant popular to have sex with. Needless to say, I was very smug when I found conclusive evidence that proved that I was right and she was wrong. :P)
God I love this movie. I want to slap Torrance though, I mean come on... Why the hell would she even look at Cliff when Missy is right there? One of the many reasons I love ED is that in practically every movie/show she is in, there is femslash potential, and omg, ED in that outfit...
God I love this movie.
I love it too. Every damn second of it just cracks me up, and there are so many pretty girls in it, including Clare Kramer, who I believe played Lucy Diamond in the original short film of D.E.B.S.
I want to slap Torrance though... Why the hell would she even look at Cliff when Missy is right there?
I know! Whenever I see Cliff in Bring It On, I paraphrase Heavenly Creatures (another of my favourite movies) and shudder, "Ugh! Cliff Pantone, the most hideous man alive!" I much prefer Missy. Who wouldn't?
One of the many reasons I love ED is that in practically every movie/show she is in, there is femslash potential
I know! She is so good at having chemistry with other actresses, like she did with SMG in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I only ever saw like, one episode with the two of them in it and from that one measly episode I became an enormous Buffy/Faith shipper.
Totally, ED purposely brought the subtext to that show, and I will always love her for that. I am Buffy/Faith all the way, you can practically see the sparks fly. Watching the ep Bad Girls with the audio commentary is so cool, cos the writer refers to how Eliza injected the lesbian subtext on purpose, and they forgot/decided not to rein her in.
I'm butting in here just to say yay Buffy/Faith! I've come to the conclusion that Eliza is almost incapable of playing a role without bringing the girlslashy subtext to it. ;)
I reckon you are right there. And I do love the girlslashy subtext that she brings. She always seems to have fantastic chemistry with at least one other female cast member
I'm in, too. Though, seeing ED in that cheerleading uniform... I prefer her as Faith-- let's just put it that way. And with all this 'Fuffy' talk, you should probably make a community for that, too.
I'm just sayin'. 'cause, I'd join that, too. But, yeah-- I've read my share of Bring It On and I wouldn't mind more.
